At Loanway, we believe an individual's right to keep their personal information private is important; so we are committed to protecting and maintaining the privacy, accuracy, and security of your personal information.

• your agents, including your legal or financial advisers;
• your executor, administrator, trustee, guardian or attorney;
• your referees (including your employer), e.g. to validate information you have provided in a credit application;
• regulatory bodies, government agencies, law enforcement bodies, courts, and other parties we are authorised or required by law to disclose information to;
• any person who introduces you to us, e.g. mortgage broker, to finalise your application;
• other financial institutions, e.g. to clear cheques;
• any mortgage insurer used by Loanway Pty Ltd or related lenders and any reinsurer of any such mortgage insurer, e.g. where mortgage insurance is required by us; and
• guarantors and prospective guarantors
 
 
Your Information is Secure
 
We will use up-to-date techniques and processes which meet current industry standards to ensure that your personal information is kept secure and confidential. Only employees of Loanway and those who perform services on our behalf, and are authorised to handle your information, will have access to your personal information.

We will not retain any of your information for any longer than it is required by us, except to fulfil our legal obligations. We may retain some information for shorter or longer periods depending upon any specific legal requirements and the needs of our business.

We will, with your help, keep your personal information accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
 
 
You Have Access to Your Information
 
You can access most of the personal information we hold about you and request corrections. This right is subject to some exceptions. For example, you may not obtain access to information relating to existing or anticipated legal proceedings.

This service is free unless the information you request requires significant research or preparation time. Before we act upon requests of this nature, we will tell you how much this service will cost.
 
 
What To Do If You Think We've Made An Error
 
Loanway is committed to the protection of your privacy, and our policies, processes and systems have been developed with this intent. However, sometimes human errors do occur. If you think we have not lived up to our commitment, we invite you to phone us on 1300 367 822, or writing to The Privacy Manager, Loanway, PO Box 1180, Sunnybank Hills Qld 4109.

Our objective is to respond to any complaint within our service standard of five working days. Where we have done the wrong thing, we will personally apologise and take all reasonable action to ensure that it does not happen again.

If you are not satisfied with the result of your queries, you can refer the matter to the Federal Privacy Commissioner.
